ACDelco GM Original Equipment SK1184 (22672171) Fuel Level Sensor

An eternity I languished , ever wondering the level of my fuel, knowing not if I should someday find a sending unit that would erase my horrible empty feeling.What rapture when I received the ACDelco SK1184!The ACDelco SK1184 is resplendent with beauty and grace.Its understated gray plastic body, bold black floaty thingy, delicate blue wires with no distinctive markings, thin yet rugged float rod bent at the most perfect angle… exquisite.The way it fits perfectly into the suitcase-shaped, plastic gas tank of my 2004 Saab 9-3 is almost more than adequate.And, oh, how it sends the fuel level!In but one day, I’ve almost forgotten three years of seeing the needle of my fuel gauge lying there, lifeless, pointing senselessly at that little “R” near the teensy gas pump icon, of consistently filling the tank completely up and studiously resetting the trip meter each time.The memories have seemed to vanish with the thrill of watching the needle, for so long tired and ashamed of its ineptitude, suddenly spring to life!I consider the pain in my shoulders after hours squeezed beneath my automobile pure joy for the sake of installing my new sending unit.No notice was taken that the odor of petrol remained on my hands for days following.No one marked the day when movement returned to my neck.It was all merely a trifling inconvenience in consideration of what was gained.My wife, too, who I’m sure never really wanted help cleaning the house or cooking for Thanksgiving, must certainly have shared this plenary bliss.For generations, the bards shall recount the fables of the ACDelco SK1184!
